WHAT RAINY DAY IT WAS.......!!

The luscious rushing drops of rain, when fell from the thundering sky,
So sparkling, rejuvenating and all the vehicles passing by,
All the sense of thrill and adventure was gone,
Couldn’t see much in the night, could hear just the horns.
2J11SNM

Lost in the craazie street,
Craving for comfort and heat,
I got so scared and tired searching for you,
As all the streets where dark and new

Dint know where was I lost that day
Noise enveloped me in the rain, leaving the roads marshy,
Stood alone on the pavement, cold with the legs shivering
That put me into deep feeling of solicitude raised to anxiety and cry.

Oh!! Thanks to my dear one who came so near,
Holding my hands and said to me Don’t worry my dear”,
This was the moment I will always remember,
Knew the importance of LOVE and will not trade it for anything ever.

Oh!!,,,, WHAT A RAINY DAY IT WAS…….

DEDICATED TO MY DEAREST FRIEND ON THE COMPLETION OF ONE MONTH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

"HAPPINESS DEFINITELY SHOWERS ON EVERYONE"

GETTING STARTED

Writing” to me is definitely not the skill that I’ve acquired, but it is just the willingness to write. I’am buoyed up by the energy around me having something unique to say and thereby thought to pen down all my feelings- wretched, aesthetic, merryful, sorrowful, the feelings of all kinds. I’am writing to be truthful to certain facts, certain emotions unlike the other writers those who believe only in hallucination and place themselves away from reality. The stimulus behind my writing is not weird, but it is to depict the human emotions are the deepest mystery and there is no understanding to it. Those are just not that lucid or that simple to understand. My writing consists no outrageous exaggeration where I need to emphasize its meaning or its bewilderment before the facts of meaninglessness. Trying to communicate my happiness where I feel this to be the true subject which writes itself followed by my own whims and fancies and cannot be silenced.Bonvoyage to my friend after her wedding actually inspired me to make a head start.

I’am fortunate enough to have a brother who can be there for me at just the very right moments. Two of my friends, Ooha and Harinder are the people who brought me out of bog of self doubt towards writing. Ooha is my inter friend, now in Houston, pursuing her masters in industrial engineering. She comes from a well educated and sophisticated family. Harinder, is doing his management studies through symbiosis institute in India. I would never have dared submit to without their encouragement.

For me the first appreciation for writing was when I was in fifth semester of my engineering from my lecturer Mr.Patil, who taught us Design subject. He comes in… pauses for a min or two and said pointing his finger at me…..” the piece was great...”.
He meant the article which I produced on the topic ”what should the students rely on newspapers or television to keep themselves aware of the happenings in our daily lives” for a Hyderabad local newspaper "The Times Of India". Since then my interest in writing and reading grew on and on and perhaps became my true hobby.

I believe reading much voraciously, will increase ones fund of information about knowing life, creativity, reality and its clear discrimination between all of it from one another. The elements of my script are the common people with pious thoughts and their gracious presence which made my friends wedding full of ebullience. Through my script lets peek into the happenings of marriage bliss which I ‘ve personally shared along with Jaya & her families( both old and new). I hope I succeed in taking the readers through all my pages satisfactorily and I hope they appreciate my cosmos presentation. I also apologise if i wrote anything wrong against anybody.

The story is about a brilliant girl and her journey from small town and how she became a resident of Mumbai- The city of stars, and finally shifted to other part of the world, i.e Austin, USA. Just like many other girls she also wished to have a wonderful life partner. She also dreampt the same. With god grace she also found one who is very nice person, humble and equally talented. We all really admire his family who cultivated such a nice culture within them.

THE ANGEL WAS BORN

27th Dec 1983, after the late sunrise around 9’o clock in the morning, Mr &Mrs Ashok kumar more became parents to a beautiful girl child named Jaya..Now they had two children, eldest was the son named Keerti and next to him was Jaya. Previously they lived in Hyderabad (the city of nizams). More than half of their schooling got finished from Model mission high school, lothkunta, hyd. I really thank that school where we actually got closer and the source factors were Keerti and Sukumar my brother. They both were classmates and through them our mothers became friends.

Jaya, since her childhood is not so talkative. She is calm, reserved and an intellectual girl. she is so very hard working & dedicated when she is serious about something. She extends her interest in singing, dancing and painting. she has many prizes also. She just loves purple colour. She is too adorable to not like her. But yes, at another stroke her anger is always at the lightening speed, flashes & disappears. And ofcourse I have complaints with her got damn memory. she hardly remembers any memories we spent together playing dolls, plucking the tamarind bites and playful acts like teacher-teacher.

TWIST AND TURNS IN LIFE

I feel aunt(Mrs.More) is the best lady that my mom has ever seen in her life who turned out to be my mom’s best friend. According to us aunt is really admirable and really very brave to take up all the responsibilities after uncle(Mr.More) left this world on 21st june’1995. "Birth" &" Death" are the two truths in the world who can never predict, unlike the" Dawn" and the "Dusks". The days of struggle began after leaving Hyderabad when the supports from both the parents became very formal & started dwindling with the time. There was a time when aunt had to unobscure her stitching talent and managed the household expenses. Mrs More taught in the schools and also took tuitions and led a strenuous life.

Keerti, now 28 yrs old, an adroit, young energetic and handsome, guy. There is actually so much to speak about him and his benevolent nature. After migrating to udgir, after finishing his matriculation, he was just waiting for that day when the interdependencies just disappears and becomes the whole and sole care taker of his family consisting three including him. He then made it. He secured the top most position in academics, became the topper in his university and graduated in the year 2003 as a Production engineer.

THEN HE STOOD BY…..

He started his career through a company @ Atlas Copco. For that reason he came to pune. I’am sure he must be really grateful to Mr.Damodar more his uncle & his family who supported him actually in every thick n thin of his life.Patni was his second company to work and now working with capgemini. three companies by far in his life and he became so capable of even changing the livings of most of his friends including his family.

He is very responsible, down to earth, self moralized, simple and workaholic guy, unlike the Omega man. I tell u he is so damn inexpressive, he just cant show his emotions and just be untouched by any feelings. Really donno if he pretends…..:). But yes, he loves to hang on with the music and also be adventurous @times. The special thing about is passionate listening is once he likes some song, he would never mind listening it day night throughout for even six months at a stretch.

He has a subtle thinking somewhere at the corner of his mind that almost 99% of worlds women population are brainless. I would say that his thinking is such because he might have not met the actual 1% of women population around him… for the past yrs.Not his fault though…… laughs. Nature wise he is awesome and he is no less than a nocturnal creature. We wonder if he sleeps during nights or not… I would definitely not wonder if he becomes an insomniac patient in coming days… he just loves to work… and these days he even exclaimed about his new discovery, his new girl friend,…… nevertheless that is also pertaining to his work… i.e his “NEW LAPTOP”…. Lol

What ever may be, he just loves his lil sister , who is just no more lil. He has stood up by his family and not only made his sister complete her engineering but also searched a fine guy and got her married in a well cultured family. With no much support of their grandparents and relatives they have blossomed like rich and colourful flowers in an orchid..

AND THEIR BLESSINGS…
Definitely there must be the blessings of their elders from bottom of their hearts, which drove them beyond the crisis and today Jaya-keerti with their mother are leading a comfortable, and blissful life

Grandparents feel glad & proud whenever there is reunion or an occasion when all the relatives get together & be among them. Mr.Bheeshmdev More, grandpa , was so overwhelmed with their success that he composed a poem in hindi…… praising his grandson (keerti) and granddaughter (jaya). Here he pours down his feelings , his ecstasy in a form of poem and salutes that lady who brought up her children in such a serene way and can look at them with proud. Their grandfather has retired as a headmaster from a gurukul nearby a small village , Ghatkesar.

An epitome of altruism is just a profound and apt definition to their grandpa. His non-vindictive nature always makes the soul to respect him from the bottom of our hearts.he did lot many helps to their family but never took credit on it. Some times even jaya becomes low when think about the past. She never expected that her destiny would get her so far…. And abridge the distance between two families. She wonders how in 2-3 meetings with her prince charming(Mr.Abhishek) got them so close that they finally became soulmates. And all thanx to keerti….:)

JAYA’s NEW FAMILY

She got affianced to Abhishek on 9th Dec 2009. Her new family consists of Baba(Mr.PS Chawan) and Aai (Mrs.chawan), Prasad and Abhishek .Baba is very kind hearted, generous, well organized, gregarious and very benevolent person. He has graduated as a chemical engineer from IIT Madras in 1973. Aai's loquacious nature can get anyone closer to her. She is too adorable. He then got retired from Haffkine Bio Pharmaceuticals ltd, as a General Manager. His wife Mrs.Chawan was a teacher retired from a school nearby BMC in the year 2008. They both together nurtured their family with lots of affection and care. Baba is fulfilling his dreams through their childrens happiness. Mr&Mrs. Chawan are very elated now that their elder son has done his masters, got a fine job in USA, got him married to pretty talented girl and certainly happy with Prasad’s admission at the university of Boston.
A MONTH BEFORE HER MARRIAGE

23rd April 2010, Friday ,was her last working day @ cognizant. She was happy now that she was relieved off slavery. It was fun… that evening when she told that she was not less than PT.Usha… running behind the bike pickers… for parking the bikes at no-parking area. This happened when she and a few of her office mates got down the plaza to have hot and spicy vada-pavs….. just imagine friends…. “a girl”…. Running behind a big trolley, a bag in one hand and a vada-pav in other, just to save her bike…. Maaaann… I cant stop laughing….. lol…..I’am sure she would definitely capture this moments and laugh at her leisure.

We calculated each & every minute kind of shopping which was to be covered within next 25 days before her wedding. The days were full of excitement, mirth joy, laughter. As the days passed out, don’t know what happened to us we started behaving abnormally, we both increased our apetite ….. so much that we couldn’t resist eating anytime , anything….. Crazzieee…. We.. hehehehe……

We enjoyed eating pulav, veg kabab, dosas with various kinds of chutneys, pizzas, panipuri, vada-pavs, variety of sabjis, curd rice…. And ultimately Bread omlete…. There was a day when we ate nine eggs at once which were actually brought for hair conditioning purpose. Well now that she was going to belong to a pure non-veg family, there was no wonder that she had done that.

Jayas beloved grandma and her relatives arrived before her marriage in pune. I feel lucky enough to have got bonded with her cousins… all the kids were below the margin of 16yrs. They were so lovely each one of them, were very cute.. sunny, shourya, shivani, pratham., rana, ….etc everyone… even they accepted me not at all different to jaya…… we had lots of fun together.the kids were so cute that they even got mingled up with my brorher. Every evening we made some plans to either play fun or stroll in a garden nearby called sai udyaan… a park.. it was real fun enjoy with her brothers and sisters.

Just before her marriage we also made a trip to dadar . One whole day we peregrinated in and around Dadar market. At the end of the day till we returned home we started breathing heavily, after tons of shopping. After coming back to pune the next ventures were to search for a parlour, mehendi lady, a good hair dresser …uff…. Felt it was a never ending process.

It was 18th may 2010, today we had to get ready for a drive towards Mumbai and the evnt was----- Jaya- Abhishek’s court marriage. This went on very fine even after 2 hrs of standing, in that hot, humid, sultry weather which entrapped all of us.

THE WEDDING EXTRAVAGANZA

Gradually today 22nd may’2010, was the day when jaya was fully adorned with all the golden ornaments, looking like a princess, became a bride and was eagerly waiting just to see her bridegroom. Now she was about to be called a lady from a city of bollywood stars, much more busier, hot ,happening place, the place which is half surrounded by an Arabian sea, the place where the pride of India, sachin tendulkar has emerged and a home for most of the celebrities….. that day has arrived….

Jaya’s uncle and aunt, all her cousins, friends…(sukhi & poonam)… everybody amassed@ her place in the very morning. We started heading towards Mumbai somewhere nearly 7.15am.
There was lot of excitement filled but jaya @ the other end started feeling like the drive was really procrastinated and prolonged than anytime as never before.

Nearly 200km from pune to dadar city, passing through six tunnels up & five tunnels while return by road never felt so long as on that day. As I noted the second tunnel was the longest tunnel among the six on the way from pune to Dadar. It took 42 sec to pass through that tunnel @ a speed of 90-100kmph. Whilst entering the gates to lonavala& khandala it feels so cozy and the weather seems to be so soothing that we can even forget our destiny…just in between those hills. I wish if I can make it up to that place one day…

Crossing three expressway tolls, first we (jaya, uncle aunt and me) reached the marriage hall by quarter past ten in the morning. There we get to know that the bus which was carrying all other invitees including aunt and keerti, got punctured and was just half way through. The anxiety arouse in most of their minds as to how to begin the poojas , because the things required for the devkarya was in the bus.

The temperature hit 45degree Celsius, so sultry, people were just feeling not so comfortable, and there somehow the troop managed to reach the venue by 11.30am. then the devkarya started,
I was proposed to sit with jaya as her” karauli” during the poojas. Its an Indian custom where the bride is accompanied by someone who can help her in seek anything what she needs during marriage.

After performing devkarya, another custom of applying of haldi (turmeric) to the bride & bridegromm was carried over. The hindu belief of applying haldi is to keep the bride away from the evils…. It is treated to be as a evil saviour, and also give a glow to the face. The scientific reason is “turmeric has an antiseptic characteristics. It is an anti bacterial too. While the green festoon hanging on the top of the maindoor frames stops the movement of insects. But to prevent the passage of other invisible organisms, sometimes even turmeric is applied on the door sill.”

On having finished, both the families came together & proceeded with other formalities of doing kanyadaan and bestowal of the girl in the hands of boys family. Sharply @ 4.52 pm, lagna muhurtha (means fixed marriage time), Jaya and Abhishek exchanged their varmaalas( garlands), tied mangalsutra..(the sacred chain), applied sindhur( the red coloured sign) on her forhead, and thus declared the completion of marriage ……

Reception party, followed after 7 in the evening, so much of fun, all the greeting people, relatioves, friends, well wishers, lightings, beautiful and colourful ambience everywhere, I m sure jaya must thinking of capturing that moment for ever… even now…n never let it go.
Her cousins, other kids here and there, loitering having fun brought so much of enlightment on jaya-abhishek wedding….. that was an absolute bliss. all her cousins…. were simple lovable.
Peter De Vries once wrote that “there is no such thing as touch of garlic--- ideally while cooking…” so I just wanted to say that those ppl, those cousins,
(sunny, shivani, shourya, pratham, karthik, neeraja , rana…etc.) all were just like" the garlic in a haute cuisine"….. thanx to them…... that they spread so much happiness on her wedding.
I’m thankful to those people who made their gracious presence…. On my friends wedding , took some time from their precious hours and blessed the NEW COUPLE.
TODAY IS 22ND JUNE 2010, They are away but still closer to our hearts, living blissfully in Austin, USA. Definitely celebrating the completion of one month wedding anniversary . I just request all my blog viewers to bless the new couple and wish them a very happy married life here after…..

Therefore I say…”HAPPINESS DEFINITELY SHOWERS ON EVERY ONE…”

YOUR's LOVINGLY,
Madhu.
